Forum community and advertising network CrowdGather has launched a mobile app for its largest hosted platform, Yuku.com. Yuku enables users to start their own social community or join other forums and social communities listed on Yuku. With the introduction of a mobile platform, CrowdGather hopes to increase page views and provide a broader range of access for users.
“We are excited to launch the first mobile app for the Yuku platform,” says CrowdGather chairman and CEO, Sanjay Sabnani. “As part of our strategy to better serve our communities, we are focused on ensuring our users can easily access their favorite forums on their mobile devices. Per Google’s analytics, we estimate we have over 10 to 15 per cent of our total monthly page views from users on mobile devices accessing all of our hosted platforms and a few of our largest branded sites. Since the majority of those users, particularly on Yuku, are using Apple devices, we launched the app in iOS first, and we are beginning to build our mobile advertising platform. Unlike traditional web browsers available on mobile devices, mobile apps provide an ability to better engage customers through customized ads, such as branded interstitials or concentrated geo-targeting.”
